You’ll operate using the club’s N4POW call sign and a control operator’s privileges, no license required. Even Technician licensees can enjoy HF bands here!

PARC Winter Field Day

Winter Field Day is more than a competition. It is a chance to build emergency communication skills by setting up temporary stations and operating in winter weather. Freezing temperatures, snow, and ice create unique challenges that help us prepare for real emergencies.

We will be at the large shelter in Fighting Creek Park, operating on battery power. Two end-fed half-wave antennas will be used for HF and a J-pole for VHF and UHF. One HF antenna is for the Bring Your Own Radio station, so bring your own HF radio and plug in. The other will use a Yaesu FT-991A.

One hour time slots are first come, first served. Sign up today and join the fun.
